Dez Bryant -- DUNK FAIL ... In Charity Hoops Game

... In Charity Hoops Game

Apparently, Dez Bryant is human after all.

TMZ Sports has footage of the Dallas Cowboys superstar going up for a wide open dunk at a charity hoops game in AZ on Saturday ... only to get STUFFED by the rim.

It was a rare athletic misfire by the NFL superstar -- who, along with several other celebs, participated in the Gridiron Celebrity Hoops XVII charity game in Phoenix this weekend.

The game raised money for Juli’s Kids Motivated to Succeed (Juli’s Kids) -- whose mission is to enrich the lives of today’s abused, abandoned, neglected and homeless children.

As for Dez, we're told the rest of his game was solid -- but more importantly, props for helping out a great cause.

Bobbi Kristina -- Found Face Down in Bathtub ... Drug Search Completed

0131-bobbi-kristina-tmz-07Bobbi Kristina was face down in the bathtub when she was found this morning, and police searched her home for drugs ... TMZ has learned.

Law enforcement sources tell us when Nick Gordon and a friend found Bobbi Kristina she was on her stomach, and there was water in the tub. It's unclear how full the tub was, but we're told it was enough water for a bath.

The significance, of course, is that Whitney Houston died with drugs in her system ... while taking a bath 3 years ago at the Beverly Hilton.

We've also learned police executed a search warrant on the home this afternoon, and we're told no drugs were found.

Boxer Deontay Wilder -- Jay Z Ain't For Me ... Not Joining Roc Nation

Another boxing superstar is taking a pass on Roc Nation Sports ... with WBC heavyweight champ Deontay Wilder saying he won't "jump ship" to join Jay Z's crew.

As we previously reported, RNS is making a serious run at the top boxers in the world -- and has already signed big names including Andre Ward and rising star Dusty Harrison-Hernandez .

But Wilder -- who demolished Bermane Stiverne during their championship fight two weeks ago -- says he wont be following suit ... telling TMZ Sports he's sticking with his Al Haymon, one of the biggest managers in the sport.

BONUS -- Wilder says he does a solid DMX impression ... and put his skills on display last night at the end of the clip.

Also, even if you're not a boxing fan, you may remember Wilder as the guy who KNOCKED OUT a heckler who famously harassed him at an L.A. gym last year. Good stuff ...

Dr. Dre -- Suge's Full of It ... I Never Asked for a Peace Summit

Suge's Full of It

I Never Asked for a Peace Summit

Dr. Dre
is calling BS on Suge Knight for suggesting the good Doc asked Suge to come to the set to make peace with him.

Sources connected with Dre tell us ... he scoffed when he was told Suge is claiming Terry Carter -- the man he struck and killed -- was bringing Suge to the set because Dre wanted to end their beef .

TMZ broke the story ... less than an hour before the hit and run, Suge went to another set location but was thrown out by Dre's security. Sources connected with Suge say he got a call from Carter who said he had just spoken with Dre and the Beats mogul said he wanted Suge to return so he could make peace.

Our Dre sources say it never happened, and note it's pretty convenient the only other person who has first-hand knowledge is dead because Suge killed him.

As for why Dre and his people didn't want Suge around ... we're told it's because they view Suge as having a big fat target on his back. They say the shooting last Summer where Suge was hit 6 times is proof enough ... he has enemies, and Dre didn't want him and his people in the line of fire.

Suge Knight -- Victim's Relative Says IT WAS MURDER

Suge Knight
murdered his friend ... and that's not just what cops are saying -- this is right from the victim's family.

A close family member of Terry Carter -- who did not want to be ID'd -- tells TMZ, she went to the scene almost immediately after the incident and multiple witnesses made it clear ... Suge made Terry a sacrificial lamb.

She was told the story we broke ... that Suge was an unwelcome visitor to the set of a commercial for "Straight Outta Compton." Both witnesses and detectives told her Suge and Cle "Bone" Sloan got in a physical fight while Suge was sitting in the driver's seat. Suge gunned it and struck Bone.

This is where the relative says it's murder. Bone was laying injured behind the truck and Terry ran over to pull him to safety. The relative tells TMZ Suge KNEW Terry was there but was so determined to kill Bone he just didn't care, and gunned it in reverse , rolling over Terry's head.

We asked her if she could accept Suge's explanation that it was an accident, and she said flatly, "Hell no. It was murder."

George Zimmerman -- Off the Hook in Ex-Girlfriend Assault Case

breaking news

0130-george-zimmerman-getty-01George Zimmerman will not be prosecuted for allegedly assaulting his ex-girlfriend ... now that she's totally changed her story and refusing to cooperate with authorities.

As we previously reported ... Zimmerman was arrested in Florida earlier this month after the woman told police he had thrown a wine bottle at her during an argument in his house.

Prosecutors announced today they were dropping the case against Zimmerman because the now ex-gf is denying there was a bottle thrown -- and now says she was never in fear for her life. She also doesn't want to proceed with the case ... according to the State Attorney.

Without an eyewitness to back up the woman's initial claims ... prosecutors decided to cut bait.

Men have suffered bigger falls in pay than women since financial crisis

  • Men have suffered bigger falls in pay than women since financial crisis

  • Earnings in the private sector have declined by more than public sector

  • Men are more likely to work in the private sector which was hit hardest

  • Weekly pay for men has fallen 9 per cent since 2008, analysis showed

Men have suffered far bigger falls in pay than women since the financial crisis struck, according to a report published today.

The reason is that earnings in the private sector have declined by more than in the public sector where women are much more likely than men to work, the Institute for Fiscal Studies says.

Weekly pay for men has fallen 9 per cent since 2008 once inflation is taken into account, analysis by the highly-respected think tank shows.

That is more than three times the 2.8 per cent decline in women’s wages – making men the big losers of the Great Recession.

‘Real earnings have fallen less in the public sector than in the private sector since the crisis,’ says the report by IFS analysts Jonathan Cribb and Robert Joyce.

Average weekly pay in the private sector, adjusted for the cost of living, has fallen 7 per cent over the period, according to the IFS. By contrast, public sector earnings have fallen by 4.3 per cent. ‘Women have seen considerably smaller falls in earnings than men,’ the report says.

But men still earn significantly more than women, while state employees are better paid than those in the private sector – particularly when pensions are taken into account.

The IFS says that on average men earn £12.92 an hour, some £2.55 or 25 per cent more than the average woman on £10.63 an hour.

The gap in average weekly earnings – £506.70 for men against £330.30 for women – is even wider because women typically work fewer hours.

Average weekly earnings for men have fallen by £50.05 or 9 per cent since 2008 while women’s pay has dropped by £9.43 or 2.8 per cent. An IFS report last October said women make up about two-thirds of the public sector workforce compared with 40 per cent in the private sector.

And public sector earners on average still earn thousands of pounds a year more than those in the private sector. The average public sector pay and pension deal is worth 17 per cent more.

Public sector workers are almost seven times more likely to have a final salary or career-average pension offering a guaranteed income on retirement, according to the IFS. Excluding pensions, the public-private gap is 4 per cent.

Today’s report also shows that younger workers have lost out more than older workers. For those over 60, hourly pay adjusted for the cost of living has returned to its 2008 level, but for those in their 20s it is still 9 per cent lower.

Pay has also fallen more for high earners than for low earners, according to the report.

But the IFS adds that earnings growth is now returning, in a boost to the Government ahead of the general election in May.

‘Almost all groups have seen real wages fall since the recession,’ says Mr Cribb in the report. ‘The pay of young adults remains well below its pre-crisis level after particularly large falls between 2008 and 2011, while the average pay of those aged 60 and over has already recovered.

‘Falls for the low-paid have been somewhat smaller than for those on higher pay, driven by trends since 2011.’

A Treasury spokesman said: ‘This IFS analysis confirms that the UK labour market is continuing to perform strongly. We are seeing a record number of people in work, unemployment falling and wage growth accelerating while inflation falls.

‘The gender pay gap is at its lowest since records began.’
